Foundation Guidelines
The Phoenix Police Foundation (PPF) supports the City of Phoenix Police Department (COPPD) by providing funds in the area of unmet capital needs such as equipment and technology upgrades, specialized training, community outreach, and youth programs. In addition, the PPF provides funds for employee recognition and financial assistance in crisis situations. Each year, the PPF’s Board of Directors consults with COPPD leadership to determine priorities for funding.
Application Procedure
Prior to submitting an application to the PPF, grant requests are first reviewed by COPPD command staff to ensure the need is a Department priority and that the PPF is the most appropriate source of funding for the request.
How To Apply For A Grant
Complete all areas of the application form. The grant proposal must be signed by a Lieutenant or higher and accompanied with a memo from the Bureau/Precinct Commander. Provide supporting documentation, such as written estimates or proposals that indicate exactly what the PPF is paying for should the grant be approved. Please retain a copy for your records. Grants submitted to the PPF without proper signatures will not be considered. Grant applications should be sent via a Commander to their Assistant Chief. The Foundation Board of Directors will review requests once approved by the Executive Assistant Chief.
